A fantastic place to stay in the beautiful North Wales. Central to town and all the amenities pubs, cafes, shops via a very short walk its a perfect base station for walking, Zip World or just chilling out. House itself was clean large and fully equipped kitchen and useful utility room wet room for muddy paws!

We have stayed at Craigside before and thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. Craigside easily scores 10 out of 10 on all levels. There was no downside to this beautiful house. Everything was of high quality and designed for easy living. The location is perfect, in the heart of the village, but sheltered from the busy shops. Betws y coed is unique, utterly beautiful with really good facilities. It was a great base for holidaying in North Wales.

Superb stay through Christmas. The best compliment about this stay is that the cottage felt like a home for us not a holiday let. The cottage was as listed and the hot tub was the best we had ever used in a let property. The property is super close to Bettws, you can walk into the centre in less than 5 minutes. We never like to stay in a property twice but we may make an exception here , book, dont think twice if you like quiet, great walks, a home away from home and good access to the local centre which has all you need. Lastly, its got great situation if you want to travel wider, we did some trips to Anglesey. Thnx Marc, Linzi and Family.

We enjoyed a lovely comfortable stay at Craigside. This is the second time we've stayed at the property. It was clean and tidy. It's a great central point to stay in Betws y Coed with everything you need on the doorstep. Unfortunately we didn't use the hot tub due to rain but did use it during our previous visit and it was a great added bonus. The only slight criticism is it would've been nice to have had a Christmas tree. But other than that it was perfect.

The property is great overall, warm and comfortable, great kitchen and living areas. Location near the village is very good. Hot tub is lovely but used less than last year. There are a couple of small patches of mould in some rooms but this is a risk in a holiday home where people might not understand the need to ventilate and keep the bathroom door closed. The tumbler drier damaged a couple of running shirts, which was annoying. The radiator in the small bedroom didnt work so we left the door open to let heat in from the rest of the house.

Craigside is an extremely comfortable, very well equipped house in a lovely setting. Our family group of 5 had 3 cars and it was very useful to have parking. We loved the hot tub, particularly the day we climbed Snowdon. We would definitely recommend and we are hoping to return. Also thank you for the welcome pack.

Craigside was a wonderful place to spend a week in Snowdonia. In fact we wish we had stayed longer. The home is close enough to walk everywhere in BetwsyCoed taking in all of the sights and lovely restaurants and equally tranquil and on the doorstep of wilderness, with lots of trails into the hills immediately around the property. We stayed as a family of 5 with 13, 10 and 9 year old kids and they loved it. Plenty of space and amenities, and a great hot tub which saw plenty of use. The location was also great for exploring Snowdonia, we went zip lining, horse riding, kayaking, Anglesey beaches and climbed to the summit of Snowdon via Llanberis. All amazing! And apologies we forgot to write this in the guestbook too, we were in a rush packing up! Would recommend and would revisit.

We had a fantastic holiday, there is so much to do nearby as a family and the local area is beautiful. We enjoyed gorge scrambling, kayaking, zip world activities and visiting loads of local beaches, towns and villages. This accommodation is in a great location and has its own parking which is very much needed as the local area looks to get busy. The accommodation was well equipped with everything you need and very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could need and is to a high quality. There is plenty of space for a family. Our only issue was around hot tub cleanlinessmaintenance but I raised this with the owner when we arrived and it was quickly resolved. Otherwise, this is a fantastic holiday let, would recommend to others.

In general, I had trouble with communications with Sykes as somebody who booked through VRBO. I tried to change dates as early as March and couldnt get anyone to respond until right before I was to arrive, and that was unprofessional. In addition, every windowsill had so much Animal dropping, not just birds, but also rodents and bats so while it would have been nice to open windows, it was an extremely unpleasant prospect. The home needs outdoor attention. There is also visible mold growing on several of the walls in the bathroom and two of the bedrooms visibly. The shower drain is sluggish and easy to flood quickly over the pan. Lastly, there are definitely bats in the attic or some other rodent, and this needs immediate attention. The hot tub was really clean. The house was really clean on the inside other than those issues. I think this is a case of whoever manages this property, not having eyes on it this year and no mechanical team looking at maintenance. I should think Sykes would want to have somebody local who visits the property regularly and takes care of issues like that with the owner who lives offsite.

We've just concluded a 5 night stay here and loved it the house is great and nicely furnished and we had plenty of space. In a great location to enjoy Betws y coed and surrounding areas Barmouth beach was a favourite! We were fortunate to have some hoot sunny weather and the house stayed nicely cool which was great. We will certainly be back! Enjoyed a peaceful break.

We had a wonderful stay in this spacious, comfortable and wellequipped cottage. It's well located with nice walks and places to eat close by, as well as being a short drive to the best Snowdonia peaks. Would definitely recommend whatever the season. I should also say that communication with both Sykes and the owner was really prompt and helpful when we had an issue.

We had a great stay at Craigside, lovely home and great location! We will definitely revisit.

I have been trying to resolve issues we had during our stay since DecJan with the property manager and Sykes cottages, no one is making any attempt to resolves the issues. My children staying in the twin room which was full of mould and we had mould, dirty unwashed bedding and towels in the back double. I had to wash all the bedding because it was so dirty and no one responded to any calls or messages. The hot tub smelt disgusting and the water level was low, so after the mould and dirt inside we didnt use the hot tub incase we feel ill. All I want is Sykes Cottages and the property to have the decency to make contact to resolve the issues and booking that ruined our last holiday over new year as a family! I would most definitely not recommend either the agent nor the property!!!

We had a lovely stay, great location although we did struggle to locate it in the dark it's down the private drive next to Cotswold Outdoors. Enjoyed the hot tub very much. Would def look to stay again if in the area and that's probably the best feedback you can give a holiday let!

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Craigside. The location is perfect and very close to the pubs, shops and restaurants. The house was very clean and tidy and the owners have clearly taken on board previous comments. The hot tub was a great addition and the welcome pack was lovely. We would definitely stay again.

Lovely location. The property is gorgeous. Very spacious. Needs a deep clean. Surfaces clean but behind chairs, furniture, beds even under tables were full of bits. Cobwebs in each corner of lounge and in window recesses. Back door to hot tub lock is not fully locking and needs abit of assistance. We had an issue with upstairs toilet flush. A very nice gentleman came out to mend it on a Sunday, thank you. It didn't spoil the holiday as overall the property is perfect but maybe abit of tlc required.

The picture on the website totally misrepresents the view of the area in which it sits. Its not as expansive as shown therefore when you arrive you feel a bit underwhelmed. The cottage is comfortable and with plenty of equipment to enjoy a relaxing holiday, as previously stated by others there is an abundance of cobwebs, which could have easily been removed before our arrival. The welcome pack was great and local amenities very close and the Royal Oak does great food, the grandkids loved it. All in all its a great place to stay with good local links we loved the log fire. Yes Id come again very peaceful and restful

Craigside Holiday Cottage is a nice place for a break. It's close to shops, cafes, and fun things to do. The house gets warm fast when you turn on the heat, which is great. The bedrooms are big, the beds are comfy, and there's plenty of room to store clothing and items. The bathroom is also good. It has a wet room and a nice shower. But, the cottage could be better. It needs a good clean. There are crumbs under the dining table, the bathroom cabinet is dirty, there are cobwebs throughout the property, and the kitchen tools like the chopping board are not clean. There's also mould in almost every room, some kitchen tools are melted, and some glasses are chipped. The cottage feels old and worn out tired. It would be good to have hooks near the hot tub to hang towels. Overall, Craigside Holiday Cottage has some good points, but it needs some work to make it really nice for guests. With a bit of cleaning and fixing, it could be a great place to stay.

We had a fabulous stay at Craigside, the property is ideally located within walking distance of shops and restaurants within BetwsYCoed. Craigside is a very comfortable house with big rooms that have a lovely warm homely feel to them. The bedrooms are also roomy with big windows and comfy beds. We would definitely return we had a very relaxed few days which is exactly what we wanted.

Very comfortable and clean house in a great location. Felt like home from home. Only downside is the state of next door's garden maybe some improved fencing would make this less noticeable didn't spoil our stay however.

Fantastic property and in a great location, and the hot tub was a god send after days of strenuous hiking and biking! The house has everything you need and was spacious, clean and well equipped with everything you need. A really comfortable property, ideally situated for accessing all the facilities of BetwsyCoed which are plentiful. A very generous welcome pack, many thanks. We have been to this area many times and this village is perfectly placed for visiting so many different places eg Anglesey, Portmeirion, Bodnant, Llandudno, Slate Museum, Caernarfon etc. The next door property may not be the tidiest, but they cause no problems, which is the main thing.

Great location and lovely sized property with everything you need inside. We will stay again. Only suggestion would be to put some screeninggate beside the house so when in the hot tub you have some privacy.

The cottage was comfortable, We were disappointed with a couple of things 1. There was no enclosed garden 2. The neighbours made the whole area seem like you were living in a Rubbish dump for a week. 3. Photos were misleading with the amount of green areas you can actually use 4. The fireplace was in the Dining room which was a pointless place to have it couldn't enjoy it in the evening without sitting uncomfortably at the dining table 5. Water pressure in the shower was awful and no hand held part which meant it took much longer to shower than needed. We had a relaxing week however and inside the cottage was very nice. Location was great especially as we didn't really drive anywhere. Thanks

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. The home was made to be very comfortable, the facilities were brilliant. Specifically the proximity to the shops and restaurants was great, considering that it was nice to be slightly set back from the main drag of tourists. The road is close and noisy, but once inside the house, the noise didn't bother us. Close to so many wonderful places, and the kitchen and cooker was a joy. Not to mention the well maintained jacuzzi. There were a few light bulbs not working and sadly no replacements but again, small things that didn't hinder our enjoyment. We will be rebooking!!

This is a lovely house, only a short distance from restaurants, shops, and pubs, with great walks from the front door up into the woods and lake behind. And you can hear a waterfall from the house, which is lovely, but otherwise it is really quiet even with front windows open. The property itself is exactly as advertised, very warm and comfortable and very clean, with everything you could need in the kitchen, including a massive Rangemaster cooker. It suited our mixed agegroup family perfectly. We are used to keeping our two spaniels close by when using the hottub or garden, so the fact that there was no fully enclosed space to the rear wasn't a problem for us, but others might want to take a pet barrier just for peace of mind. The comments in another review about the untidy garden adjacent are accurate, but as this is only visible from an upstairs window, it did not diminish our enjoyment of Craigside in any way. We plan to return, perhaps when the weather is warm enough to enjoy having breakfast in the big garden!

We had a wonderful Christmas stay, just what we needed. The cottage was beautifully presented and spotless. There was a little welcome pack and useful necessities like tea bags etc if we'd not brought our own. The kitchen was the best equipped cottage I've stayed in. Hot tub was lovely and the location amazing, being so close to shops, pubs and restaurants. My only negative comment was the outlook from the rear of the house. Sadly the neighbouring house doesn't seem to look after their garden which was more of a dumping ground and has an unsightly static caravan. This clearly isn't the fault of Craigside which was the complete contrast and immaculate.
