Branwen Reviews

Terence
We were disappointed on arrival, the front and rear of the property looked unloved with dirty windows, window sills, door and the gardens overgrown with weeds and leaves everywhere rendering the outside spaces unusable. The ready to use hot tub was cold and Bromine, alkalinity and PH all at 0. We found the chemicals and rectified this ourselves. The house was clean but we needed to clean kitchen utensils and drawers and defrost the fridge and freezer before use. We had to end our stay a day early due to the main water supply having a burst water main across Flintshire and not expected to be on again until the weekend.
Lesley
The cottage is ideally placed within walking distance of a great beach and local amenities, and wishing a short drive of other attractions such as Llandudno, Rhyl, Towyn etc. There was plenty to keep us busy. The property itself was a good size and very comfortable, with well presented bedrooms and living areas. The hot tub was a hit. Our only issue was the outdoor space was quite untidy. The patio furniture was unclean and quite old, and the garden area was overgrown. It meant we didnt use this space as much as we would have liked.
Rebecca
Branwen was a beautiful place to spend our week in wales. The house was lovely, everything was clean and comfortable, and the facilities were fab. Everything was as pictured and we had everything we needed and more during our stay. The location is absolutely perfect, with the shops, bars and beach just a 2minute walk away. We also loved the local walks to the Gronant Dunes and to the Dee Estuary Salt Marshes. We had a lovely stay and will definitely return.
Lovely, welcoming holiday home. Ideal for families and dogs. Hot tub was a bonus touch.
Absolutely beautiful cottage, fabulous hot tub, amazing welcome gift. We loved our stay, very close to beach, pub, shops and amusements. Would love to stay again. Just one point to mention, can only apologise but the bin was not emptied before our visit so very difficult to discard of refuge but I assume this was another customers fault. Thank u so much.
Amanda

Great property and well equipped, ideal location for all ages with arcades nearby for children, great coastal dog walks on the doorstep, a few minutes walk to lots of amenities. The garden is great for dogs, very secure. Wonderful hot tub and outdoor area. Our second stay and would recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at Branwen it had every thing we needed. The house was nice and clean with a welcome pack of two bottles of wine a red and a white and dog treats to. Jayne who looks after the place was friendly and was helpful throughout are stay. The one thing that is needed is instructions for the hot tub. A lovely holiday.
We had a lovely stay at Branwen, which is nicely furnished and maintained. The hot tub is particularly good and well looked after. I think that it is important to know that although there are plenty of seating areas, it is difficult to seat a large group in the same room, which can be a disadvantage if your whole group wants to be together. I think the photographs made it look much bigger than it is. Great location though, walking distance to village and beach. Well equipped kitchen but freezer is out in the garden bar.
Having been let down at the last minute we managed to find Branwen. We were amazed how accommodating they were especially getting everything ready for our arrival. We didnt know what to expect as we didnt have time to research. We were more than happy on arrival the welcome basket was a nice touch. The hot tub and outside bar was an added bonus. There were plenty of games books dvds. A perfect family holiday home in an excellent location just a stones throw away from the beach
Jacqueline
Beautiful property. Close to amenities. Fantastic hot tub. Everything as perfectly described on your website. Would highly recommend.
What can I say? Staying here was an absolute treat. Jayne welcomed us with the most beautiful welcome basket and it even had dog treats for our lovely dog. The place was spotless! The rooms are so beautifully put together and it felt like we were at home from the moment we walked through the door. The enclosed garden and hot tub made our holiday even more special as my children and dog spent most of their time there. We were so close to local amenities including a great arcade, touristy shops, the beach and the most amazing tasting ice cream. Local is also a number of lovely cafesrestaurants which are also dog friendly. We will definitely be coming back to stay.
Lovely clean bungalow with everything we needed and more. There was even a hamper with wine and biscuits and dog treats The hot tub was lovely after our days out exploring north wales. The enclosed garden was ideal for our dogs. Thank you for a wonderful holiday Julie Dave and Boris and Fergie
An amazing property in a great location for the beach, amusements, walking and near extra activities and facilities in Prestatyn and Rhyl. We had a minor issue blocked toilet which was quickly resolved. Nice welcome hamper and Jayne was so helpful and friendly. The garden was great for the grandchildren Easter egg hunt and our 2 dogs and we all made full use of the fab hot tub. Outside shower and bar a bonus. The one thing we were concerned about was the bifold door between the 2 upstairs bedrooms as it came off the rail perhaps remove it altogether or replace with a curtain? We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this place to other families. Thank you!

Lovely holiday home in a great location, close to the beach, great walks and plenty of amenities. Lots of room for all the family with two ground floor doubles and upstairs another double room accessed via the twin. Tastefully decorated throughout and excellent welcome hamper. Great garden that is very secure for dogs. Hot tub was lovely and clean, great garden area with outside bar.
Our group had the most wonderful time at Branwen. The home is absolutely beautiful with top facilities, you could not ask for more. Beds were comfy, the WiFi was great, its a shame its almost winter because the garden is also brilliant and I can imagine it would be lovely to sit in the summer! Jayne was really amazing too, cant thank her enough for what she did for us. If youre looking for a brilliant holiday in Wales, with the bonus of a hot tub, look no further. Wed be back in a heartbeat!
Just back from a 4 night stay at Branwen, Talacre. Were a family of 5 17, 16 and 11 year olds. Weve had a great time, our host was lovely, friendly and knowledgeable, the cottage was really clean, had everything you could imagine provided for and was really comfortable. The location of the cottage is fantastic, its a 3 minute walk to the most wonderful unspoilt beach. The hot tub a proper one! was a real win. All in all a fab time, cottage and location. Thanks you very much

Steve, Louise & Ralph We stayed at this cottage 2923 for a week and didnt want to leave. Was welcomed by Jayne who gave us lots of information about the place and showed us around the cottage. Welcome basket on arrival with wine & biscuits and dog treats was a lovely touch. The cottage was spotless and the kitchen had everything you needed in it. The garden was was well kept and fully enclosed for our dog to have a wander around. Added bonus of the hot tub and outside bar and the shower and toilet was great. This was the best cottage we have stayed in and Talacre had everything we needed and the beach only a five min walk from the cottage. We will definitely be returning as much as we can.
Robert
Great place to stay, an ideal location to explore the area. Jayne was helpful and checked in with us to ensure all was okay. There is plenty of space, whether a family or two families holidaying together. The outside hot tub and bar area are so well executed and really do offer great additional outside space to enjoy. Thank you
We were a party of 7, 4 adults and 3 kids staying monday to friday. The property was as described and was spotless and fresh. It was a good size for everyone with plenty of space. The garden, hottub and bar were a great addition. The garden was well enclosed for the dog and the outdoor shower roomtoilet was useful with 7 people. Jayne and her husband Chris were a great help with a few issues we had but nothing was too much trouble. Jayne was there to meet us on arrival and offered suggestions of place to eat and visit. Communication was excellent and the property was very clean and well presented throughout. Talacre was a great base with a beautiful beach and easy access to all north Wales had to offer. Would definitely recommend and would love to return one day. Karen
