About Garth Farmhouse

This fantastic property is the perfect escape for families or groups of friends looking for a relaxing base to return to after a long day out exploring. Sleeping six across three cosy bedrooms, it won’t be long before you’re all ready to get out and explore beautiful Bala Lake (5 miles) or Eryri National Park/Snowdonia (23.5 miles). Make the most of every moment by returning home and enjoying a soak in your private hot tub with a glass of your favourite tipple after a tasty BBQ on the patio. The property, which is situated on a working farm, welcomes you up some steps and into a porch to take off muddy walking boots. The spacious kitchen, with wooden units and exposed beams, has everything you need to cook up a storm including a range-style electric oven; sit on the sofa and chat to the chef while they cook before moving through to the dining room. This bright and airy room has French doors out to the patio – why not dine alfresco when the weather’s fine? After dinner, retire to the lounge where an inglenook fireplace and wood burner beckon you to sink into the sofas and watch TV. Get away from the busy house and read a book in the snug or play some games with your fellow guests. Upstairs, a stylish shower room is filled with light through the sun tunnel, while neutral decor in the two double bedrooms and one twin helps you drift off to sleep. If you’re an adventurous lot, head to the National White Water Centre (10 miles) for fun water activities. For groups looking for something more relaxing, hop aboard the Llangollen Railway (28 miles), or hire a bike and explore Llangollen along the peaceful route to the World Heritage Site Froncysyllte. Coed y Brenin Forest Park (21 miles) is well worth a visit with mountain bike trails, waymarked walks and picnic sites among stunning scenery.

We had a lovely week here! The location suited us perfectly, with Eryri National Park just a stone's throw away and Llyn Tegid only about 10 minutes by car. The cottage was spacious and comfortable, with one lounge featuring an electric fire and the other a real fireplace-great for cosy evenings. The hot tub was a real highlightand although there wasn't a built-in BBQ, we brought our own fire pit which worked brilliantly. Overall, a fantastic base for exploring the countryside, we'd definitely come back!

This place is really lovely, set in such a pretty spot. The house was super spacious and spotless, with everything we needed. The garden's so secure, we didn't worry about the dog at all. Loved the hot tub-so relaxing after long walks. Definitely recommend!

We had a lovely stay here! The place is super peaceful, perfect if you're looking to escape the hustle. The two lounge areas with TVs meant the kids could watch movies while the adults relaxed. They were thrilled to have TVs in every bedroom. The shower was a lifesaver after a long day of exploring. Only thing is, the location is a bit out of the way - the bigger supermarkets are a bit of a drive, though there's a local co-op in Bala which helps. We also went to Tesco in Porthmadog on a day out, so all in all, a good trip!

We loved this cosy little cottage set in such a peaceful spot. Being on a working farm was a real treatand the views were absolutely breathtaking. The Roberts family were so welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The hot tub was a lovely bonus after a day exploring. Perfect for our dog with secure outside spaceand the nearby village was charming. A great base for visiting Snowdonia, Bala Lakeand Barmouth. Definitely coming back!

Overall, pretty happy with the work! The only small gripe is that the toilet's a bit tight against the wall, maybe about 3 inches. Slightly repositioning it and the sink would make a big difference.

We booked this place for a mountain biking adventure and it was just what we needed-quiet but close enough to the trails. The cottage, tucked away behind a farm, had plenty of room and all the essentials. Bala was only a 10-minute taxi rideand the local pub/shop combo was handy. Everyone was really friendly too, which made it even better!

Loved the cosy atmosphere, especially the log burner during the rainy Welsh days. Perfect spot for a peaceful retreat. Would definitely stay again, quite the good place!
Laura
This place is really lovely, feels super cosy and has everything you'd want, especially in the kitchen. The owners are lovelyand the enclosed garden makes it perfect for our dogs. We'd definitely come back again!

The cottage was super cosy and really charming, with breathtaking scenery that we couldn't get enough of! Wish we'd stayed longer to enjoy it all. Overall, a fantastic few days celebrating our friend's 30th birthday. Cheers!

We had a lovely stay here with our two dogs. The place is super spacious and has everything we needed, including a hot tub that was perfect for relaxing. The garden is totally private and secure, which meant the dogs could run freely without us stressing. The kitchen was well-equipped, ideal for cooking up local goodies. We mostly ate in and enjoyed the range oven. Can't wait to come back! Definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway.

What a lovely stay! The place was spotless and super comfy, really felt like a home away from home. The hot tub was a hit with everyone. Hosts are nearby and so friendly, making sure we had everything. Plus, those blackberries on the way up - yum! Can't wait to come back xx

This house was a fantastic spot to stay! It was comfy and spacious, plus perfectly located for exploring the area. We'll definitely be back for sure.

We stayed at this beautiful farmhouse and it had everything we needed! The log fire was lushand the hot tub was a fantastic bonus!! We had a lovely holiday here. Unfortunately, we did experience a powercut because of the bad weather, but we got in touch with the owners. They brought us loads of logs to keep us warm and kept us updated about the power situation! It was an amazing weekend!!
