Yr Hen Dy is a Grade I listed 16th-century farmhouse sitting on a working farm in North Wales. This historic stone building offers stunning sunset views across the countryside and sits just 3 miles from both Conwy and Llandudno. The ancient stonework and exposed beams tell stories from centuries past - without the ghosts (we think).

The property sits in beautiful North Welsh countryside with easy access to beaches just 3.9 miles away. Perfect for outdoor adventures with coastal walks and mountain hikes right on your doorstep. We had a lovely weekend getaway at this cosy cottage. Dont let the quaint exterior fool youits surprisingly spacious inside, with plenty of room to relax and unwind. The beds were super comfortable, and everything was clean and wellkept. One of the highlights was definitely the hot tub, which had a fantastic viewperfect for winding down in the evenings. The host was incredibly nice and approachable, and they resolved any small questions quickly and effectively, which really made the stay stressfree. Would definitely recommend this place for a relaxing break!
Really lovley cottage, plenty of space for 3 adults and 4 kids. We had an amazing time with plenty of room and comfort. Very happy with all the amenities and we all especially loved the hot tub, made even better with stunning views. Also the kids loved watching the cows move from being milked too.

Amazing cottage, lovely views and a very kind owner
We would recommend the house, as its a lovely big house with plenty of space for socialising and comfy beds and stunning views with the best sunsets! Nice secure area for the dogs to run around. Would be lovely if they could add a bbq area! However, a few little things let it down the house could do with slightly more cleaning, lots of cobwebs! Also one of the larger sofa legs was broken when we arrived so this limited our seating slightly. Lastly, two members of our party got hot tub folliculitis quite badly despite following all the hot tub rules. The hot tub looked slightly discoloured and smelt slightly fusty, we presumed it was ok as we hadnt been told any different, this got worse over the week we were there not sure if this is checked every day. We informed the owner and sent them pictures but unfortunately havent heard anything back.

We absolutely loved our time here! The location is perfect, the owner Rachel could not do enough for us, it was very clean and looked after. We enjoyed a lovely tour of the working farm, and the hot tub was excellent. We will absolutely be returning!

We stayed for 3 nights and had such a wonderful time. The cottage is really big and comfortable. We had a little hiccup with the heating but Rachael sorted out immediately. This cottage is amazing! steeped in history, quirky & unusual. The bed was super comfy. We spent a lot of time around the kitchen table with the log fire on, the dogs loved it. Also had the log fire on in the lounge super cozy! The hot tub was so warm and comfortable and the views were just wow! A short drive to the beach which we loved. Thank you so much for the gorgeous treats! Really wished we had booked for a longer stay Thank you x

This cottage was ideal for our family of 5 adults, 1 10 yr old, 1 infant and 2 dogs. 2 double bedrooms and a twin room. Plenty of space outside for the doggies too. Lovely sitting room with log burner. Fantastic big party kitchen. Everyone loved the hot tub and the stunning views from the top garden. Bedding and towels were plentiful and comfortable. Bath robes were a bonus. The cottage is quirky but all the more interesting for that. Family fun playing hunt the light switch. The owner Mrs J went above and beyond to help us out when one of our doggos suffered a minor injury. Genuine animal lover and great person. Perfect weekend. We will be back

We booked Yr Hen Dy for my birthday and it was just wonderful. The views around the cottage are spectacular and the cottage itself is magical. We enjoyed the quirky features, the comfort and the cosy feel of the cottage. The rooms were just beautiful and the kitchen facilities were excellent. Rachael was friendly and helpful as a host, and we cannot wait to visit again.

The house is beautiful and in a stunning location. There was so much character. The owners were really helpful, when we didn't have enough glasses on the first day, Rachel immediately came around with more for us. The house was clean, there were a lot of spiders but you can't avoid that in an old house like that! The beds were comfy, everything was easy to use and the hot tub was the perfect evening activity.
This is a lovely property, in a lovely area! So peaceful, the perfect escape thoroughly enjoyed a few days here with easy local access to Mountains and Walking routes, the dogs loved it even more! Highly recommend, will be looking to return soon !
